Many of you know that Austin and I are expecting our first little one in September. Up until a few weeks ago, I honestly hadn’t thought about the registry AT ALL! Really, it just didn’t seem all real that we were actually going to have a baby. As I have gotten further along in my pregnancy, and talked with a few family members (my sister and sis-in-law are also both pregnant), the planner in me started to kick in! I wanted to start registering and looking at options, but I had absolutely no idea where to begin. Has anyone else ever felt like you have so much to do, yet you have no clue where to start, so you just keep putting it off? Haha, yup, that’s how I felt in that moment. ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS!
Luckily, I knew a handful of people who either have had babies or are currently expecting. So, I decided why not just post a few questions on my instagram to see what YOU all love for you and your little ones. Man, did y’all come through. Life savers! That was probably the most responses I have ever received. So, I started googling and researching those items that you all recommended. The next weekend, Austin and I went to a few places to actually look, touch, feel, push around (strollers), etc.
Receiving those recommendations for you all, doing my own research, asking around, and then going to the stores to actually see for myself was a HUGE help! I felt so much better and way less overwhelmed. I felt like I actually had a plan and knew what I was looking for instead of stressfully and aimlessly staring at baby stuff that I didn’t know how to use.
Of course, I am by no means any sort of expert, but I want to share a few of the items that you all were loving and that have helped me so much in this process so far! More to come as this journey continues, but you can check out some of my favorites below so far:).
